Talk about bad timing.
I know that SEPTA knows that this is a HUGE week for the city. SEPTA workers have been without a contract since March. I understand that this really sucks. But THIS week, guys? THIS week, of all weeks?
Aside from being a vital form of transport for millions of Philly residents, this is probably the worst timing ever for anyone who was planning on using public transport to reach:
That is pretty much everyone in the city. Everyone in the entire Philadelphia region, no, the whole TRI-STATE AREA, is going to get fucked by this. (And me, too… did I mention that I START MY NEW JOB TOMORROW? I don’t have a bike. What am I gonna do, WALK to Chinatown from West Philly? Gee, that will only take two hours.)
All I can say is, SEPTA: This had better be over quick.
And your new contracts had better put you in such great moods that the bus drivers in this city actually SMILE BACK when we greet you in the morning.
